How would you pronounce Mila?

Quite a few people have said nobody will know how to pronounce babies name if this is what I go with

I would pronounce Mila like “Me-la” and pronounce Myla “My-la”

I know it’s Me-Luh but every time I see it my brain hiccups My-Luh first before remembering that’s not it.

My daughter is 5 and her name is Mila(Me-la). We have never had any issue with people pronouncing her name wrong, unless they had a thick Hispanic accent(a few distant relatives and a former preschool teacher) who pronounced it “Mill-a”. 🤷🏼‍♀️

People will pronounce it both ways. I don’t think it would be a big deal. She/you can correct people or not. Those closest to you/her will know which way you want it pronounced.
