Anyone feel like their baby is behind?

My son is 6 months now, doesn’t roll over, try and scoot, he can’t sit up. I know people say give him time, he’ll do it when he’s ready but it’s hard seeing other mummies with their babies reaching milestones.

I know how you are feeling! My daughter didn’t sit up on her own until 8 months, didn’t crawl until 13 months, and didn’t walk until 19 months. It was tough on me but I tried REALLY hard to embrace her and who she was and not worry about jt. Some days were easier than others. She is delayed a bit with speech, but it’s coming! Each kid truly does things at their own pace and I HATE milestones.

Yea it’s so hard not to compare. I see all these moms saying their babies sit up, are crawling, saying words, etc. I’m trying to tell myself those babies are the exception and not where most babies are. Everything will even out in the end. But it is hard I know.

I feel like most 6 month babies can't do those things. All my daughters pediatrician checked for was that she babbled at least a little, could put some weight on her feet, and was attempting to stay in a sitting position just for a moment. Your baby isn't behind :) It's alot of things for our little ones to learn all at once.

My baby is 5,5 months and she can’t sit up unassisted or she doesn’t crawl too. She still wakes up every 3-4 hours during night. But I think those are very rare among her piers yet too. I rather try to focus on comparing her development in herself. Like, she has been a terrible sleeper since day 1. She would stay up with  me for 4-5 hours as a couple weeks old newborn. She was fussy every night between 6pm to 10pm during first 12 weeks of her life. We tried everything but couldn’t make her sleep more. So compared to that, 3-4 hours stretches are great development to me.

He’s 6 1/2 months and last week over 2 days he cut his first tooth and now can roll over from back to tummy. However he can’t roll over to his back again which is frustrating for him considering that seems the easier one. Any suggestions on encouraging him? He has soooooo much tummy time and lots of toys!

My little guy is in the same boat as your, I talked to the doctor about and he told me not to worry, that he is just fine. I agree it’s hard to see the posts but for now I’m trusting my baby will get there in his own time, and trying to soak up all his baby ness I can.
