I’m a first time mum and there are many many things my 1 year old does now that he’s walking around and these are as followed;

Turning switches on/off

Unplugging plugs

Turning on taps

Playing with the bin

Closing the door on people

Biting ( only rarely )

Messing with the electric fire

Turns the tv channels over

My son does all of this and I’ve tried shouting his name , i tell him firmly NO , I go up and stop him or push his hand away to stop him from doing what he’s about to do but nothings affective. If he sees I’m serious he tries to make me smile but I never crack, I just feel like he’s too young to understand anything else I do right now and for that I feel like I’m being too soft or being a pushover.
