Amniocentesis? Down syndrome?

Have any of you ladies gone through this?

Little insight as to what’s going on. I’m 23, this is my first pregnancy, and this pregnancy has been super stressful for me so far.

I got the NIPT testing done & they said that 32% of my baby girl’s fetal tissue pointed to Down syndrome.

NT scan came back normal. Anatomy scan came back normal. My doctor referred me to a pediatric cardiologist & said that most baby’s with Down syndrome have heart problems. The cardiologist said that she may or may not have an isolated ventricular septal defect. The cardiologist said that this particular type isn’t necessarily linked with Down syndrome, and my little girl is such a wiggle worm that she couldn’t say with certainty that she has it. I have to go back at 28 weeks to look again for that.

I’m just wondering if anyone has any insight for this type of thing. Can the NIPT be wrong or should I just count on her to have Down syndrome? Can a 3D ultrasound be helpful in this case?
