Pregnancy issues?

So me and my boyfriend are sorta trying for a baby.. Well he cums in me a lot but still haven't gotten pregnant. Honestly at this point it's just making me lose hope. I want to have kids and it just crushes me every time I start my period.. I see a lot of my friends and family having babies. It just hurts.. A friend said maybe because I was on birth control when I was a teen but that was years ago it can't still work by now right? Right, see I'm just hoping.. Another friend said because he's the wrong guy and it happened to her sister blah blah blah... But I don't know we had sex like 3 days ago he came in me... Started my period last night.. This has happened these past few months and it just devastates me... Idk if it's because we have sex around when I'm supposed to start my period (I barely got my eve back) or what but it happens the same everytime. We have sex, he cums, I start my period a few days after... I never get pregnant. I had a pregnancy scare with him sometime last year but that's the closest I've had with him... I'm scared to go check for all that because I'm scared to be told I can't have babies...
