Do you guys believe in the death penalty? i personally live in a country where we don’t use the death penalty but i’m interested to hear everyone’s opinions. please comment your reasoning!

But seriously, no I don’t, death to me is the easy way out. In prison they have to live with what they have done every day. One thing I do strongly agree with is increasing sentences, life should be life, not 25 years.

The risk of an innocent person being executed, while small, is not a risk we should be willing to take. 
From a personal perspective, I had to read The Chamber by John Grisham for AP English. After reading that and doing some research, I’m just not okay with it.

Not really but I can’t say I’m mad if some extremely violent child murderer gets sentenced to the death penalty. I just don’t think we should get to decide who lives or dies. Also I don’t really think it’s punishment for people. Criminals often kill themselves after the crime. They don’t want to go to prison for life. Death is more favorable.

I have always been very conflicted with the death penalty. However now i feel like them being put to death is the easy way out for them and they shouldn’t get that.

I don’t believe in the death penalty. I don’t think it’s morally right. I also think the death penalty is an easy way out. Another thing is it costs way more to have someone on death row than to house a person in prison for life.

It’s not our decision if someone deserves to die. God is the one and only person who can decide that. Besides I would much rather make someone spend their whole life in jail instead of ending their life and misery.

I think for certain situations yes. It can be justified. 
But the way the US goes about it is stupid, a waste of taxpayers money, and so drawn out in time.
