Is it a deal breaker when a guy doesnt help with cooking?

Let's say you meet a guy, he lives by himself so he cooks a little bit but lives on mostly takeout food.

After some seasons past, you guys finally want to commit. You move in together get married and he doesn't lift a finger to cook anything!

Should you just suck it up and say to yourself "I knew he didn't cook when I met him" why the fuck would I expect him to cook some shit now.

If all the meals prepared in the home was solely up to you, would you enjoy that fact or dread the one cook household for the rest of you life? It is hard planning and preparing every single meal. I love him to death, he can't even make toast.
