Pineapple to induce labour... Any successful stories?

In order for this to be successful you have to eat the equivalent of about 8 WHOLE pineapples. 
Have you had ever eaten a ton of pineapple before? It starts to burn your mouth when you get to about 2 pineapples. So eating 8 would be insanely hard and painful.
