Regular vitamins vs prenatal?

Can I take regular vitamins instead? Sorry if this is a dumb question..

Prenatals are better to take as they have the vitamins you specifically need for pregnancy which are not the same as what a regular woman/person needs.

Prenatals will usually have extra folic acid and DHA which are extremely good for developing babies. I know they are not fun to take and I hate taking mine but the reward is worth it!

Prenatals are better for pregnancy and there's a difference between the two. You need a certain amount of nutrients that are not found in a regular multivitamin.

I did.  I just added extra folic acid so it had the prenatal level dose.
I did have trouble with the folic acid (it made me gassy), so I ended up getting prenatals anyway.

I’m not really sure, but my doctor recommends a prenatal. I’d talk to yours just to be sure.
