Are these baby names too similar? Aleena and Lena.

My step fathers ex-wife’s son from a previous marriage (confusing I know.) has a daughter named Aleena Grace. I am pregnant and the girl name I fell in love with is Lena Mae. Lena is after my fiancé’s great grandma. Not at all after his daughter. I never see them. Maybe once every two years if that. Would it be weird for me to name my daughter Lena?

I voted too similar without reading the description because I thought you meant for siblings. Name your child whatever you want, it’s a pretty name!

Look your naming your baby after your fiances family! The other person with a similar name is not even family to either of you! Name your baby what you like and stop worrying about what other people will think or say. It might just be you thinking they are to similar and no one will even think of the names sounding the same.

My mom and her sister had a Katherine and a Kathryn and they're best friends. Name your kid what you want. Especially since it's just a weird distant thing.
