Weed and Sperm count

So my hubs a heavy smoker and has been for a long time, we've been tying to conceive and although I think my body is the one causing it to take so long he claims it's him.

I've read weed does does slow down the sperm but has anyone had better chances of conceiving once they stopped smoking?
