How do you guys discipline your 1 year old?

Lucii loves to get into things and she will do it over and over. It doesn't make me upset at all I just want her to learn the difference from her toys and everything else. She also has been throwing bad fits when I try to change her diaper, she doesn't want to stay still. I have to give her my phone or something for her to play with. Do any of you mama's have any advice or tips on how you discipline

My daughter has always hated diaper changes, and I usually have to give her something to hold on to also. Recently I’ve been asking her if she wants me to change her diaper and she’ll run into my room where we change her at and then I give her the the new diaper and say ok change your diaper and she holds onto it while I take the old one off and clean her. I just keep saying good job you’re changing your diaper the whole time and now she doesn’t really mind getting it done. It takes longer to do this way but it’s a lot less irritating than having her whine and wiggle away the whole time.

I know many will disagree, but I sometimes give a soft pat on his diaper if he doesn’t respond to my “no”. With squirming during diaper changes, I 1st try patience by turning him back over to his back and sternly saying “be still”.  He is learning!

I sing to my 15 month old while I change her diaper and she stops crying or fidgeting

I try a gentle approach to discipline with a stern "explanation"  I dont want to keep say No all day so I say "not safe" , "thats for doggie" "not right now" type stuff and it generally works more often than not. BUT with the diaper changes she fights it so hard and when she is starting to flop all over in her own poop...yeah. With that I lose my cool lol

We noticed that our little girl was doing things to get attention and wanting an audience. Now that we act like we are not watching her, her behavior is a lot better. She mostly knows what’s right and what’s wrong. She’s a little too big for her britches. As far as diaper changing, she wants to change her own diaper so I give her one and she acts like she is changing it. We also sing songs sometimes. As often as possible I let her make choices (2 options). She takes ownership of the different activities that we do.

Okay well first of all... they are babies still. We have to remember that EVERYTHING is new to them and most of it is extremely overwhelming. It takes many times of being told “no” or being redirected to learn what behavior is acceptable or not. It is NEVER okay to HIT a baby or a toddler. They are learning and hitting them only teaches them it’s okay to be violent. I can’t even imagine hitting my daughter ever, but especially not at this stage. It makes no sense to them why they are being hit, and you wouldn’t be teaching them anything. 
Just be patient, that’s what mother hood is about. When Charlotte doesn’t want to have her diaper changed and is trying to roll I firmly tell her, “no” and roll her back. I have to do this almost every time but it’s my job to be consistent and be a teacher to her.
