Did a membrane sweep send you into labor?

i’m 39 weeks tomorrow and i had my membranes stripped today. How soon after did you go into labor? what were you feeling? i’m 2cm and 60% effaced and he’s at station -3. i’ve had brown spotting some of my plug(i think) came out and some cramping.

Labor started within hours for me. Initially it felt like intense menstrual cramps, then progressed to painful contractions.

i got one done at 37weeks and it didn't worked and got my second one done at 38weeks had my son at 38weeks 5days

I didn't go into labor the 1st time I went into labor the 2nd time they did it and I went into labor 10 mins later. drove home and contractions were constant. so drove to the hospital and had the baby 4 hours later

i was crampy afterwards but i’m not anymore. i have been spotting brown blood since my appointment but nothing like a flow just when i wipe. i just got out of the bath and used the bathroom and wiped and it was a little more mucusy and brown so i think it was a little bit of my plug
