Breastfeeding in front of stepson

So I’m having a little internal dilemma. My stepson is nearly 8 years old and spends about a week at a time with us over the summer. His mother has been known to call DCF on his father greatly exaggerating things that aren’t even issues (like him punishing stepson by making him sit in the corner where he saw a spider one time and saying he made him sit in the “spider corner” while he screaming and terrified, which didn’t happen) and we’ve FINALLY gotten them out of our lives after nearly 2 years.

I’m afraid of breastfeeding in front of him for fear of her saying that I’m exposing myself to him and getting DCF involved again. I don’t feel like I should have to cover myself or go to a different room to feed the baby, but I don’t want to end up starting trouble again.

It’s probably just hormones and anxiety, but I don’t know what I should do or how to bring this up to my boyfriend.
