What is your general response to know it alls?

Know it alls, or people who are arrogant/constantly on a high horse or full of themselves looking down on others. How do you respond to them generally? 
If you voted you put them in their place, how do you do so? 
Also, do you think know it alls or arrogant people actually come from a place of insecurity?

Usually people who are know it alls get scared when you ask for facts and resort to name calling 😂

And get mad when you use sarcastic remarks

Usually I ignore them. I'll say something like, "Oh, I didn't know that. Hmmmm... " Or, I might say, "Oh okay, I'll have to try that." Ya know, I know their full of s***, but I hate confrontations, unless they are absolutely necessary, but 9 times out of 10, they're usually not necessary at all. I don't have to take that person's advice. I don't have to take anyone's word for it. I don't have to tell them that either. I can let them think that they've succeeded in telling me what to do, or telling me how to do my job, or whatever... while still living my life and doing my own thing. Not only that... but if I'm trying to tell someone something and they don't listen, I'll just sit back and let em make a fool of themselves because sometimes they just have to learn things the hard way... and that's typically how know it all's learn best. You can't tell em nothing. You can't argue with them. You can't say things like, "I told ya so," because then they get all defensive about it and then you're the bad guy... lol!

Know it alls aren’t automatically arrogant. 
Usually, I either respect their opinions/arguments if they’re true or i tell them they’re dumbasses if they’re not (if they were arrogant, if not I just correct them). 
I prefer to have conversations with people who actually know what they’re talking about.

My dad is a huge know it all. He always starts out with “let me tell you something”. I instantly say NOPE NOT TODAY. 😂 he hates it and usually talks louder over me

I think there’s different forms. Like if I’m confident on a topic oh for sure I’m a know it all, but if say the topic is welding, nah fam I’ll tap out immediately because I don’t know shit, whereas a buddy of mine knows everything about everything. 
Deep sea welding? Oh he knows all about it
Paragliding? He’s an expert
Breastfeeding? Let him give you the low down
Having a womb? PUH. LEASE. You thought you knew what having a womb was like
With that type of person I’ll either ask for what sources brought him to what he’s telling me, and he usually doesn’t have any, or I’ll actually laugh and say “of course you know”. He’s a good friend but gets far too uppity over everything. Like I could say I like the color yellow and it’s gonna be an argument with him, but if you start anything or drop a little knowledge on something he’ll be all dramatic like “I can’t even argue today /faints”
