Periods after coming off the pill

So on Tuesday I had the beginnings of my first 'real' period after stopping the pill in March. Generally I have pretty painful cramps and fairly heavy bleeding for at least 2-3 days with my period lasting 5-6 days. This time it started a day earlier than expected with kind of medium heaviness and now 2 days later it's so light that I think it will probably stop. No symptoms or cramps whatsoever. I know right?! What am I moaning about! I guess I'm just worried because I was expecting the opposite.

Just curious if anyone else experienced something similar after stopping the pill?
