Social media announcement prior to 12 weeks?

Has anyone announced on social media before 12 weeks? Just curious. Trying to decide when i want to. I live in a small town and word is traveling FAST now that my family knows

My first pregnancy I never announced and that ended in a miscarriage and I found it really hard to deal with because no one knew what had happened. So this time around we announced at 7 weeks after seeing the heartbeat, I figured if I’m going to have a miscarriage it’s going to happen regardless if I announce or not and Id rather people know this baby exists and is loved. Thankfully I’m almost 18 weeks know and she’s healthy and growing. 😊 Announce whenever you feel comfortable, something can go wrong at any point in pregnancy so don’t let the superstition of announcing before 12 weeks keep you from sharing your good news.

I’ve seen people do it. It’s personal choice, I didn’t because I didn’t want to have to tell everyone on social media if something happened.

We just tell people face to face and don’t announce on social media until like the halfway point. Neither of us live on social media so it’s just not a huge priority to us. We would much rather tell people in person or on a phone call or something so that it’s actually special

With my first I announced right away to everyone and social media. Sadly that ended in a miscarriage just days later so with my second i only told mine and my husbands parents until 14 weeks. It’s your personal choice on when you want to share the news

I announced as soon as I knew even after the first announcement was ectopic. Personally being able to share our lost was very healing for me.

I did at like 11.5 weeks just bc I already had two ultrasounds that looked great! Otherwise I would have waited.
