Grandma names?? Opinions

So my mother doesn’t want to be called grandma because it makes her feel old 😭😂 so we agreed to have my daughter call her something else similar to grandma but not exactly. She wants my daughter to call her Mama but I honestly don’t want to because I feel like that should only be my name (idk just personal opinion). Anyway what other possible names could we use or think of? I thought of maybe Mimi but curious of other names

Mimi is super cute. Totally understand the not wanting her to be called mama! My mom is called Nani (pronounced noni) and my grandmother is Nana (pronounced Nona) They both didn’t like grandma, since they felt too young.

My mom asked to be called Mimi because she didn’t want to feel old like her mother, who all of grandchildren call Grandma. She told me Grandma just sounds old so she wanted something “cuter”. So my husband and I let her pick what she wanted to be called. She asked if Mimi was okay and it’s stuck ever since. Mimi is cute and fits my bubbly mother. My MIL actually asked to be called Nana instead of Grandma as well. She wanted to be called Nana because that’s what her kids called her mother when she was alive.
