He’s coming!

Went to the obgyn today for my scheduled appointment. I have been having contractions since 7:30 this morning. They hooked me up to a machine to track my contractions and it wasn’t reading them! So she decided to check to see if I was dilated and sure enough i was 4cm! She said she was being very gentle because I was very thinned out and she didn’t want to break my water (she’s technically not allowed to speed up my labor because I’m 38 weeks 1 day). She said I was definitely having contractions and that baby would be here within 24-48 hours. She said I could go to the hospital if I felt that uncomfortable that I already needed an epidural but I decided to wait. She told me to go home, take a warm shower, try to get some rest if I can, and get together What I need. I’m so anxious I don’t feel ready at all! So far I’m still hanging in there, but I think I’ll be going to the hospital within the next couple of hours 😊
