35 and never been on birth control

I haven been having very heavy cycles went to the doctor today and was told that this might help...Im scared because he was like my cervix is so small and he going to have to use the ultrasound to put it in..what if it gets knock out of place??? Or like idk..but I’ve had to have a blood transfusion because they are so heavy..so I hope this help other wise the next step is surgery.
