Am I in labor?

Question

Today is my due date and I have a membrane sweep in the morning. My contractions started early this morning. Should I wait until the morning when my doctor checks dilation or go to the hospital now? My contractions aren’t very strong at all just feel like mild period cramps but they’re close together. I just don’t feel like I’m in labor at all. I lost my plug this morning as well.

I was told to go to the hospital when they are approx 5 mins apart and close to 1 minute long and that had been happening for at least 1 hour. You're not too far off from that right now. With my first i kept expecting contractions to get worse and when I finally caved and went to the hospital I was 9 cm dialated and had my baby within an hour. It doesn't hurt to get checked out.
