What do I need to buy before baby gets here?

Question

So I need to know the top most important things I need to have/buy before baby's arrival. I k of there is a lot to get, but I know some of it can wait until after the baby comes. I have a car seat and bassinet already. I have a few blankets. What should I put at the top of my buy list? I'm currently 16 weeks. oh and I k of diapers and wipes are a must. I've already started buying them. Also recommendations of brands are welcome.

Um there’s no way I would prefer to wait until after baby is here. Unless you plan on buying everything online. Lol I’m 4 weeks pp and barely want to leave my house still! But that’s just my experience and opinion. We use our baby bathtub all the time even in the beginning with just sponge baths it was nice to sit him in it so that he was supported while doing it, we also use the swing all the time and we have the diaper genie right next to our bed and bassinet so it’s easily accessible all the time and we use it for every diaper. Also, gripe water for after 2 weeks old and nasal saline drops have been a life saver since about a week old. I would definitely recommend having those on hand. And Vaseline, if your having a boy and have him circumcised you’ll need it, even though the hospital gave us some we still needed more and now we use it to protect his butt during the night Incase he sits in a wet or poopy diaper too long and it’s been really nice.

if you plan on pumping i would suggest getting a pump which you might be able to get a free one from your insurance and milk storage bags to start a stockpile.

Ive had 4 and in my experience most of the shopping can wait till baby is here. Just basic onesies, nightgowns, socks if it will be cold. Little burp cloths if you want and whatever you need for feeding, of course. Nursing pillow, pump, a few bottles. Thats the bare basics I can think of. Oh, a little bouncer is nice to have for somewhere to sit baby down and a carry wrap so you can carry baby if youll be up cooking or doing stuff in house. After 4, I barely even used a diaper bag anymore. Literally just stuck a few diapers and wipes in my purse.

Most important? Somewhere for baby to sleep. A safe car seat for bring baby home. Around 6 onesies. Diapers. Wipes. Swaddle or sleepsack. 
Early on, they just sleep, poop, and eat. You don’t need toys or strollers or whatever immediately. You can lay them on a towel and do a sponge bath. If you’re breastfeeding, you don’t need bottles right away. If you’re doing formula, you’ll obviously want a few bottles and formula.
