*TW* Mandatory Reporting

In Australia, we have mandatory reporting laws in each state, which basically mean if a child has been abused, and discloses it to a certain person, that person is mandated to report it to the authorities.

In Western Australia, the requirements are having belief on reasonable grounds that a child is being sexually abused.

The people mandated to report are police, nurses/midwives, teachers, doctors and boarding supervisors.

I cannot find information on what happens if you do not report.
