I'm not that strong, so if I tried to intervene I'd probably just make things worse. I'd call the cops and then do my best to get my loved one out of the situation. Only if it began to become life threatening would I intervene, otherwise the situation would just escalate and I would put myself in a spot to get in trouble and seriously hurt.

I can’t promise I would stay calm exactly, but I certainly wouldn’t hit the person. That’s a great way to get hit with an assault charge

For my parents, siblings, husband and daughter? I absolutely would intervene physically if I felt they were in immediate danger. I have had to get physical in the past where my own life was in danger, I would do it again if one of theirs was. The adrenaline rush is real y'all. If it was a situation where staying calm and calling the cops was realistic without my loved ones getting hurt, I would do that.

If by ’keep calm’ you mean, verbally attacking them, yes I’d keep calm. I'm pretty small compared to most of the people around me so the only time I would hit them would be if it was a close family member (my sisters or my younger cousin)

Like a police officer got aggressive arresting my brother for choking me when we were arguing and I still was throwing shoes at him even though he was “tryna protect me” every family should look out for each other regardless of the situation
