Different symptoms= Different Gender?

Question

So I have two boys, 5 and 2. I had virtually identical pregnancies with both. No negative symptoms, minimal weight gain, and nobody really knew I was pregnant until about 4 months.
I am pregnant with baby #3 and I- for the first time in my life- have morning sickness. It just set in at 8&6. Additionally, STRANGERS are comfortable asking me when I’m due at 9 weeks. I’m showing a LOT. 
Please for the love of everything holy tell me this could be a marker of a girl.

So I know this doesn’t mean much, but my midwife said she doesn’t believe in any of the old wives tales, BUT she does believe that if you have a big increase in morning sickness with the next pregnancy it is usually the opposite gender of what you have already had. 
At least she said that is usually the case. So maybe girl!

This was true for me! With my daughter I had no morning sickness, generally felt great and with this one, I had the worst morning sickness, migraines etc. My mom said if symptoms are opposite then gender will be opposite, which was correct for me.

I’ve had a girl, and two boys. All pregnancies were exactly the same with symptoms. I have friends who were the same way with opposite genders. People will tell you “oh you must be having a boy/girl because you’re experiencing...” so we think symptoms are related. But its not. The symptoms related to genders is an old wives tale, there’s no actual correlation.
But I do know some women have been known to experience different symptoms depending on the gender. I have heard of and know some women myself who experience symptoms with specific genders (my MIL was sick for my husband, but fine with her daughters). You could be one of those women! You never know. 🤞🏻😉

I’ve been wondering the same thing, so I’m glad you asked this question. I’m on my second , my first was a boy and I never had one symptom with him. With this baby , I’m having the absolute worst morning sickness, I started bleeding off and on but everything is good and the constipation has been through the roof so I understand what you mean. I also look like I’m further along that I am , I’m almost 12 weeks. 😊
