Baby shower favors?

Are favors at parties a thing anymore? lol I have no idea what to do.

Last shower I was at they had little baggies next to the candy table so you could take a bag of your choice of candies. :)

I've been wondering the same thing. Ive been to a few and they didn't have favors but when I look on Pinterest they have so many ideas for favors. My mom and NaNa said they never heard of people giving out favors. I guess it's just whatever you want to do. I might do this because I thought it was really cute

I had a Dr Seuss themed baby shower with my son and had a different book as the centerpiece for each table and did edible favors to coordinate. Hop on Pop: popcorn, Yertle the Turtle: mini turtle bites, One Fish Two Fish: gummy fish, etc. I just had everything in separate goodies bags so my guests could grab one off of each table. For prizes I had Bath&Bodyworks; lotion, hand sanitizer and body spray in colored bags. The adults and kids loved it!

We aren’t playing games, so no prizes. But I am having cookies made in the shape of our theme (giraffes and elephants) and giving those as favors. I’ve been to other showers where they have given little hand sanitizer or lotion as favors too. These are the cookies being made:

At my babyshower we did sweet pea scented hand sanitizer favors. Super cute, and smells fantastic lol.

I did a BabyQ and for friends that brought kids I had little favor bags for the kiddos (bubbles, crayons that kinda thing).

we just did gift bags for the games we played a pedicure kit a candle my boy cousin won 1 so my host gave him money cuz the bags were all girly

I’ve never been to a baby shower that had favors. I think it’s something you can do, but don’t have to do. I figure as long as whoever is hosting is providing food and drinks, and the Mom writes timely thank you notes, a favor isn’t necessary.

You can if you want but it's not necessary. At my shower I did tiny succulents as the favors though. 1 per family unit because they were pricey. I agree with the prizes though for games and such. That's really all you need

I think if you do any games that prizes are standard for winning, but not little parting favors or momentos.
