Would you send your kids to school in a school district under investigation for misappropriation of funds?

Question

A school district two cities over from where I live is under criminal investigation for many things, the most prominent being misappropriation of funds in the amount of $52,000,000. Yes, fifty two million dollars. 
Would you trust sending your kids to an ISD with this going on?

I think for many, it’s not feasible to send kids to another school district or a private school. That could be due money or time spent driving a child to another district or something else. So I chose “it depends.”

Probably not, purely for the fact that I’m not buying uniform for them to get settled then the school to potentially close. Also, what were those funds taking away from? Will my kid be eating porridge all day everyday because the headteacher took a holiday to Bali? I think I’d avoid it for the moment

I wouldn’t want to. But private school is expensive, so I might have to.

If I had any other option no. Schooling can be expensive as it is and I’d like to know that my money was actually spent on the school, school related activities, etc.

I would do some investigating on the specific school my child would attend. Ask parents that have children that attend the school and get info about the administration, staff, and educators.

What’s the alternative? If you could homeschool or go private, that would be good. But realistically I wouldn’t move over something like that.

If I had no other option, then of course. But if I could work a little harder and had the capabilities to send them elsewhere than I would.
