Does the cervix exam/check hurt when doctors check if your dilated?

It didn't really hurt, more just uncomfortable cause I mean they have to get up in there and it can be a bit awkward and uncomfortable.

My vagina has been so swollen, my midwife could only fit one finger in me. When she tried to do 2 it hurt. But if I weren't so swollen I don't think it would have bothered me at all. It helped when she had me put my closed fist under my tailbone, changed the angle of things.

Cervix exam doesn't hurt but membrane sweep does.

Totally depends. It hurt when my first doctor did it (male), but the following 3 female doctors and 1 female midwife never hurt me.

You'll just have to wait and see if it bothers you. Everybody is different, cervix high up is more difficult and uncomfortable because they really get up in there. Lower cervix probably isn't as bad.

It didn’t hurt for me, until she tried to go behind his head to see how much i was dilated. (His Head was waaaaay down but not out of the cervix). 
When I was later on in labor I didn’t feel it. I was in too much pain.

If they've got big ass hands and jab at you while checking, yes. I had that with a few nurses. Otherwise it's mostly just uncomfortable.

Honestly I think it’s the worst thing ever. Not because it’s super painful but just so uncomfortable

It’s more of a slightly uncomfortable feeling than anything. It didn’t hurt me at all, and I haven’t heard anyone else ever say that it hurt them. But everyone’s different, even if it does hurt you I imagine it wouldn’t be more than a little pain.
