Negative Ovulation blood test

Hi, never wrote on anything like this before, but just last week I got a blood test at doctors as me and my husband have been trying to conceive for some time. The results came back in that i had not ovulated that month, but i have regular periods. Honestly my life feels like its crumbled around me. We are testing again next cycle. My lack of knowledge of next steps is probably what is making me most anxious, i am terrified our dream of becoming parents won’t happen for us. Has anyone been through anything similar who would know what the next steps are?
