My baby girl is here 😍😍😍
I had my little girl on the 23rd and it’s been a hard and rewarding week. My little girl is in the special care nursery because when she was born she was head up and had extra mucus in her lungs that she couldn’t get out and she had a high white blood cell count so she had to go on antibiotics. She was all set to leave the nursery when she had an O2 drop to 65 after a feeding and we were told she had to stay an extra five days to make sure she was okay because it lasted 45 seconds and they didn’t want to take any chances. Now I know that there are mums on here that have had way worse things happen to there babies but watching that happen and knowing that she wasn’t getting air terrified me and I’m so happy that she’s stayed the past couple of days in the nursery to make sure she’s okay. She’s had a few drops after that but nothing as bad. Like into the mid 80s and back up. But tomorrow she will be going home and I’m so happy and I’m so thankful for the nurses and doctors who kept an eye on my baby. It was a terrifying experience and it left me wicked emotional and my husband I had been staying in chairs for days and I had an emotional break and had to go home to get actual sleep because I was gone. I had a 23 hour labour and I hadn’t slept in double that because I was so stressed about my baby girl. But I got some rest and I started doing better and so did she! I’m so happy she’s going home tomorrow. I know a week isn’t as long as some of the woman on here have experienced longer times and I hope this post doesn’t offend anyone, but I just wanted to post this because it was hard to see her like that. She was born 9 pounds 3 ounces (big baby I know) and 21 1/2 inches. Here are a few photos of my Lilttle Lily
