What would you do?
So the little girl across the street (who we have never formally met) came over today as I was getting my girls out of the car (they are 2 and 11 months). She asked if she could come over and play. I told her that we had things we had to do first then maybe we could. She said ok. When my husband got home over an hour later she was waiting on our doorstep. He said he would check to see if we were done doing what we were doing and come back but it might be a bit. He went out 40 mins later (we are spring cleaning) and she was still on our doorstep. Finally I said enough, if her parents are ok with it then fine. So I went across the street to ask because I have NEVER met them. The dad comes to the door and I say “hi, your daughter wants to come over to play but I needed to check with you since I have never met you before” he was like “yea that’s fine, I’m watching movies, she has at least 2 hours” he never asked my name or anything about me. 1. I think it’s weird that the parents don’t care where or who their kid is with. 2. I don’t think an 8 year old should want to play with a 2 year old so badly. (Obviously she wants human interaction but it makes me sad)
