Who else Failed!? 😭

Question

I failed my glucose test and have to go back and do my 2 hour one this week. 
If I have GD what does this mean for me? Will I be high risk or?
Has anyone passed the second time around?

I failed my 1 and then my 3 hr. I fasted and did what I was supposed to but nothing mattered. I failed every test by at least 25 points. Honestly, if you’ve got it, you’ve got it and it’s best to catch it now. Does it suck to prick yourself 4 times a day? Yes. Does I like living on a modified diet and counting carbs? No. Is the health of my baby worth it? Absolutely!
As for what GD means for your delivery and future, don’t worry about it too much until you know for sure if you’ve got it. Having GD means you’ll have an increased risk of getting type 2 diabetes later in life. That doesn’t mean you will though :) It can also effect your baby if you don’t keep your sugars under control. Your baby could grow very large or when born they might need insulin at first to help them regulate their sugars since they’ve become dependent on you to do it for them. 
Long story short, finding out you DO have GD isn’t at all a bad thing 💕 And if you don’t have it, that’s great news too. Hugs!

My midwife told me to watch what I ate the day before as this can affect the test and she’s had ladies that ate stuff the day before (lots of fruit (high in natural sugar) or sugary drinks or food) and failed but passed the second test instead and it was because of what they ate the day before the first test that made them fail the first one

I failed my one hour but passed my three hour. My doctor said something as simple as eating a lot of sugar or carbs the day before your test can spike your levels. I fast for 8 jours before my second test and passed with flying colors. I wouldn’t worry. If you do end up with it, it’s manageable anyway! It’s really nothing to worry about!
