can anybody calm me down?

So i am currently at 12 weeks..and i had my tsh level at 4.3 at 6 weeks and i ignored taking medicines. Out of sudden i today googled the consequences of high thyroid level and i am devastated and cursing myself for not taking medicines. Can i start my medicines now or it has caused any damage to my baby??? I am literally in tears right now. Please if somebody had any experience related to high thyroid to share i would love to read..please thanks

Anything to do with medication should be confirmed by your doctor, they would know the best course of action since you ignored they’re initial advice.

Don’t panic, TSH can vary a lot and 4.3 is not very high, normal is 0.35-5.0. I didn’t take it either when they recommended it bc I felt that mine was not high enough to necessitate thyroid meds (I think it was 3.5?). In the end I didn’t need to take it. Just call your doctor and ask for a repeat TSH to see if it’s even still recommended.
