Hi all, I just purchased a new cup and decided to try it out on a dry run. Do I still need to boil it afterwards?

Yes, your cup came in contact with germs, so you should boil it.
Unlike tampons, a cup doesn't cause harm when you insert while you're not on your period, so a "dry run" is fine. You can also insert it a day before your period is supposed to start, just check it at least every 12 hours.

you shouldn't be using it when you're not on your period. if you're not going to be using it immediately, then yes disinfect it
