Do you give your LO water?

My LO LOVES water. I couldn’t keep it from her if I wanted to😂 She drinks from her bottles, our water bottles, straws, our glasses, whatever. If she sees it she wants it!

So I've heard water isn't necessary if you breastfeed, but I'm trying to begin teaching him to use a sippy, so I put water in it for him to try. He likes playing with it, but I don't use it as his only source of hydration 🙂 Just let him learn, play and sip for a bit after some puree food.

Just a little with food if needed :) unfortunately she weaned herself early and the formula makes her urine too concentrated so I have to give her a little extra water from time to time.

My husband and I were just talking about this last night. We were told not until one year. What is the reason people give water earlier? Maybe I'm missing something.

Our pediatrician told us to give our guy a little bit with food (between 2-6oz per day) to help him digest it and prevent constipation. My guy only drinks about a half an ounce per day because he’s not excited about water, but we’re at least offering it. We figure if he doesn’t want it then he doesn’t need it.
