31 weeks and already dilated

I’m expecting my 2nd child and currently 31 weeks. Went to hospital yesterday bc of severe vomiting and dehydration. Was have contractions but possibly due from the dehydration but when the nurse checked me she said I’m already 1cm. Has anyone experienced dilation sooner with the second child
