After 7 years I finally found my long lost brother..
Ive always known about Jason. Dad had a photo album with photos of him as a child in it. I asked "who is the boy in the photos dad?" and he wouldnt talk about it. Years later as a teenager, i asked him again. He said "supposedly he was my kid" and didnt talk anymore of it. I thought my Dad must have got a woman pregnant and done a runner and was a coward tbh. When Dad died in 2011 from lung cancer, I wanted to find Jason. All i knew was his full name, the town he grew up in and a rough idea on how old he was. Not really much to go on! I remember looking on FB a few years back and having no luck... put it on the back burner. Last night I decided to have another go.. and i cant believe it but i found him! And its him! He confirmed my Dads name... said that his Mother had told Dad he wasnt the father yet despite this, Dad travelled and followed her to another state for 10 years trying to get to know his son. He ended up losing contact as she frequently moved. I was wrong. I thought well assumed dad didnt want a relationship with his son which i guess is why he never wanted to talk about it. Jason confirmed so much stuff about Dad that i know it is him. And now, I have a brother. Aside from my sister and children he is the only biological relative I have. And i found out hes gone 45 years with only his grandmother left as family aside from his wife and kids. We are planning to meet up. I have 4 nephews i never knew about. He has 4 nieces and a nephew! I will post pics of us in the comments. I am just so elated. I feel like i have a small piece of my Dad back. i have a BROTHER!
