What can I mix with rice cereal? 9 month old?

WIC approved rice cereal and I’ve never used it before? In general how do I prepare it?

I wouldnt use it at all personally. Our ped advises against it, it doesnt have any nutritional value. 
Just feed baby what you eat.

You’re better off feeding your child oatmeal mixed with water or formula with mashed banana or fruit purée. That’s what I did when my son was getting into solids. Rice cereal has no nutritional value

I would mix a tiny bit (couple of tablespoons) with some warm water to soften a bit and then add a puree of a fruit or veggie. Like others said it's not as nutritious as fruits/veggies and doesn't taste great alone so I just used a tiny bit of rice or oatmeal with the puree to help keep them full especially at bedtime. It can be constipating so try to use with plenty of 'p purees'....peaches, peas, pears, prunes tend to help digestion.

I’d skip it personally. But you can mix it with water, breastmilk, formula, or baby food purée

At the preschool I used to work at we mixed it with yogurt, but as others have mentioned I wouldn’t give rice cereal. It has no real nutritional value so it’s a waste of stomach space for healthier foods. We give our son whatever we eat, including spicy food, in addition to his normal bottles.
