Do you really need to deep clean?

Im exhausted all the time and have no money for a maid. I've done the essential cleaning but do I really need to deep clean before baby? Isn't a super clean home bad for baby anyways?

All I’m “extra” cleaning is the nursery and that’s more of getting all my husbands military gear off the floor and put away. 😂

I do some form of cleaning daily whether that's laundry, dishes or vacuuming. I deep clean every Saturday and what I classify as deep cleaning is dusting, wiping down windows and mopping. My daughter has horrible allergies and if I don't clean they tend to get worse.

I just try to pick a larger task and tackle one per weekend. Last weekend we wiped down walls, this week I’ll try to clean the oven. I usually do upkeep cleaning every day or every other day such as the bathroom, vacuuming/sweeping, etc. as long as you’re comfortable! I can’t stand to be around a mess, it drives me crazy and i know once my baby gets here i won’t have time to do much.

I am one of those people who have to deep clean before baby. Otherwise I go loopy what has helped me mark jobs off my list is. I’m having my baby shower in 2days and I have told my partner over the last 2weeks that it is stressing me out as I can’t physically do the jobs. So today he took the day off work to clean the house the way I want it cleaned.

Oh God no, I get wiped out after doing the dishes. I'll make sure it's clean, like vaccumed, moped and straightened up but I'm not deep cleaning Jack squat. I have no energy and my hips hurt too much lol

I don’t think it’s necessary. I think it’s more natural for us to feel like the home has to be extra clean for the baby. Not o my for the baby but for yourself because you will feel like there’s no time for it when the baby is here or you’re just too tired.

I am a FREAKY deep cleaner (once a week).. my bathroom kills me. I can hire a cleaner, but the results are not always 100% which I understand.. You only clean clean CLEAN your own bathroom, you will never put the same effort in someone’s else bathroom?! You see, this is my freaky clean side🤔
However, I realised it’s not good to clean that intens. The pelvic can’t handle the movements and the chemical products aren’t good for the health.
My husband always tell me he can do it.. but he only sees 50% of the dirth😱 
Now I’ve learned to let things go.. It’s OKAY to have a messy home sometimes.

No it’s not necessary for the baby, but I’m doing it before baby comes just because I like my house clean and since this is my third I’m assuming it’ll be a while before I want to/have time to do the deep clean. (I’m talking wiping down walls, baseboards, int/ext windows, blinds, insides of drawers, etc)

I’m deep cleaning everything but only because I have OCD. I wouldn’t say it’s necessary as long it’s a sanitary environment for the baby.
