Is it safe to change kitty litter when TTC??

My husbands step sister had a miscarriage after cleaning up cat poop of her door step while pregnant. (She also poured bleach on it thinking it would help “kill” the germs that were dangerous to a preggo 🤷🏼‍♀️) Anyway, I’m terrified to change the litter during my TWW and was wondering if I’m being irrational or if I should leave that to hubby??

It’s cat poop that can carry toxiplasmosis and it’s harmful to pregnant women mostly not those ttc ( but hey use the excuse if you can get away with it) but usually most indoor cats are not at risk for carrying this and it’s only through cat poop not pee. So if you do end up having to clean it, use gloves and wash hands immediately! Also I’m assuming it’s the amount of bleach that caused the mc because that amount of bleach is HORRIBLE for pregnant women and toxiplasmosis usually causes fetal developmental problems not mcs! Good luck!!

I show symptoms early. So the minute I felt pregnant I stopped both times just in case

100% not safe not only can cause miscarriage can cause birth defects and still birth not worth the risk

I changed my cat litter my entire pregnancy with my daughter, no issues, you just need to be very sanitary obviously. Washing hands very well afterwards. Taking it out immediately. 
I’m 5 weeks pregnant again and still taking care of all of my animals.

Change the litter every day or twice a day and wash your hands well after, and you will be fine
