Schedule for feeds?

Question

Do most of you have your child on a schedule for feedings? My son is 6 weeks old and I’m a first time mom..
I’m curious if you just breastfeed on demand or do you have an exact schedule for it? For pumping?
If you do, do you wake them up to eat or slide the rules a bit at night?

Breastfeed on demand. I pumped one side while feeding from the other. Tricks your body into thinking you have twins to supply for.

I don’t wake him and I’ve always fed him on demand..
I was asking because I read other women on here talking about schedules etc., so I wondered if I was doing something wrong. Thank you for your answers. :)

Fed on demand. Stopped waking for feeds after doc said it was okay (once baby reached a birth weight again I believe)

Feed on demand. Babies don’t eat on a schedule, unfortunately. If your baby is healthy and gaining weight appropriately I would not wake him up to eat. He’ll wake up when he’s hungry!
