I have server back pain I take one oxcycodone a day will it hurt my baby

I also have severe back pain and was taking it when I found out I was pregnant. I tapered off of it and am now just taking Tylenol everyday. After talking to the doctors the oxycodone isn’t safe for the baby and the baby will be born addicted to it and suffer withdrawals. Also if you do stop taking it make sure that you talk to a doctor about stopping it as you should taper so you and baby don’t suffer withdrawals. Some things that have been recommended to me are physical threapy prenatal massage and ice and taking it easy. I know it’s rough dealing with back pain but in the end it will be worth it when your holding that sweet baby. Hope this helps.

oxyxodone is a pretty powerful pain medication and extended use is probably dangerous to baby. try to wein yourself off if you've been on it everyday so you don't stress baby too much, but I would stop asap

U can’t take anything. I stopped soon I found out. I had 2 ankles surgery in bad pain.  Once I stopped the RX. Some of the pain went away. Them pills makes u feel like u need them Good Luck 👍🏽 Enjoy you’re baby congratulations 🎈

I take it myself and am currently 18 weeks, but it is under the guidance and approval of my neonatal specialist, my high risk OB and my pain management doctor. I think it needs to be discussed with your OB at a minimum 🤷
