Anyone else feel like they haven’t gotten anything accomplished yet? (Nursery etc.)

31 weeks here - our shower is next weekend and we haven’t had the time to finish our nursery yet. I feel like I’ve accomplished nothing even though the crib and glider are set up. I want to have the room in good shape for the shower but time is so limited 😞

You guys are adorable with your “unpreparedness.” I invite you to visit my house where the “nursery” is still a TV room. Needs to be painted, furniture moved to the basement. We have no furniture purchased, much less assembled. We have a smattering of baby things that have been gifted to us - a couple bibs, books and some stuffed animals. Some are in a pile on our dining room table, some are in a pile upstairs in the tv room, I think one thing is sitting on our entryway table 🤷‍♀️. I’m 31 weeks today. 
Next week is the shower and then I think we will have to get our butts in gear or else everything will just sit in a pile in our dining room. Husband has a weekend away with some guy friends the same weekend as my shower and then we hustle.

30 weeks here, baby shower in 2 weeks. We haven’t touched a thing yet. We have to turn our guest room into the nursery and have yet to move anything out. We will do it all after the baby shower, plus set up crib and dresser/changing table at that time as both are being gifted to us at the shower. Nesting is soooo hard when you literally can’t do anything to the nursery yet😅 best part is we’re moving in October so we’re basically setting it all up to tear it all down and set it all up again😂

30 weeks and my nursery is still the catch all room with junk in it.. baby shower isn’t till I’m 36 weeks pregnant.. so we won’t even have a lot of our baby stuff then..

I'm so glad you posted this. this morning I literally looked up not nesting because I just feel so exaughsted with work and the other kiddies that I have no time. I dont even have our crib set up or bought everything we need. however my baby will use the rock n play as a bassinets and baby box to sleep in first couple of months so the crib isn't that important. but yes I feel like nothing is done lol.

Honestly I'm 28 weeks and I feel completely unprepared for all of this. Even though this baby was planned...I need to fix the crib....buy bedding....I have no decor up or bought in babies room..I haven't read a single parenting or pregnancy book....The closer the weeks get the more I feel unprepared and like I don't know what the hell I'm doing. How am I supposed to give birth to and then know how to handle a newborn baby in 10ish weeks? Starting to feel a little nervous and panicky

I’m 29weeks tomorrow and have a stroller, high chair, car seat an a rocker sitting in boxes in the corner. On the bright side I bought 2 sleeping outfits today lol. My dad will be bringing the crib he bought but that probably won’t be until June at the baby shower he’s throwing. I haven’t painted, picked a theme, finished a registry or bought anything needed lol. To be fair I still haven’t found a comfortable sleeping position 😂😂 my husband says I’m just lazy

Sort of. The dresser is done besides hardware and the room is completely painted. Crib is purchased but still in the box. We have a swing, mamaroo, and pack n play plus some clothes and shoes. My shower isn’t until June 10th so if we can get the dresser in there and the crib put together it’ll feel like I’ve gotten more accomplished.

My shower is tomorrow. There is a blow up mattress on the floor and boxes everywhere. We have basically been using that room at storage for two years.

My shower is in three weeks and we’re having it at my father’s, so I don’t feel like I’m in a rush to finish the nursery. Most of the things I need will come from the shower or after, so there isn’t much to do. The room already had teddy bear wallpaper with neutral colors when we moved into the house.

For the nursery, just need the crib mattress/bedding, which we will probably get at our shower. And we need to refinish my dresser to be used as the change table. But the room is painted, the crib, glider, end table with lamp, decorations are all set up. Husband is working on building a closet organizer to make it more baby storage friendly. And he’s fighting buying a $120 area rug from Costco that’s sooo much softer than our nasty scratchy 10 yr old carpet. 🙄🙄🙄 we watched for deals on EVERYTHING else...can we just suck it up and buy the damn rug.
