Do you think as a woman being called love or sweetheart by a guy is offensive

So i was watching the news not long ago when a feminist was on saying that it’s offensive when me call women things like love or sweetheart she said it was degrading and men trying to lower us even further. She also said it showed that we wasn’t classed as equal to men as if we was we would be referred to as madam or miss. 
I think it’s honestly BS and that she was just lookin for a way to be on the news 😂. Opinions??

If my husband or my dad or father in law calls me like that it’s ok. But when I’m at work and a guy calls me like that it’s offensive. It’s like hey I have a name so use it lol

I hate when anybody, man or woman, calls me sweetheart or hon. Nobody in my family does it but god everyone in public does. I can’t explain why but it feels so condescending. I automatically don’t like anybody who sweethearts or hons me.

Depends on who is calling me that.
I worked as a waitress for 9 years and absolutely hated being called sweetheart by random customers. So degrading and gross! (Especially older guys)
But if family, or men I know personally call me sweetheart, doesn’t bother me at all!

Depends on the context. It makes me feel gross when random men call me "sweetheart". That's a term of endearment to me, and if you're a stranger then that's fricking creepy.
