when does the third trimester start

hey mama, I'll be 25weeeks on Monday, just curious when does the third trimester start, my app say 26, but others apps has something different

My OB said take the number of weeks in pregnancy and divide by number of trimesters (40/3=13.3) so each trimester is 13 and one third week and one third of a week is 2days and 8 hours. So each trimester is 13weeks 2days and 8hours so the third trimester starts at the end of week 26. So the first FULL week of the third trimester is week 27.

I was told by my doctor to just divide 40 weeks by 3. 
1-13 is 1st
14-26 is 2nd
27-40 is 3rd

I read from What To Expect discussion board that there’s no right or wrong way of calculating when the third trimester starts. Just like some feel the second trimester starts at 12 weeks while many say between 13-14 weeks. Some will say 26 weeks, 27 weeks, or 28 weeks. Some people consider the full 40 weeks while other only consider being pregnant for 38 weeks since you don’t technically count the first two weeks of pregnancy. I wish I saved that conversation because it was so detailed. I think most people say between 27-28 weeks.
