Still won’t sleep through the night?

Please tell me I’m not the only one still struggling with a toddler that doesn’t sleep through the night? We’ve only had a handful of nights where she has and I totally took them for granted each time. But now with baby #2 on the way, I’m nervous that it’s going to be something that continues.

My son is 19 months and wakes up atleast 3 times each night for a bottle. 🤦‍♀️

I would personally cut the during the night feed. Give your baby a bottle at bed time. I know your doctor has advised the baby needs it but this isn’t the case your baby is wakening out of habit. I would pick a few nights when you don’t have work and when baby wakes for a bottle put water in the bottle. This might sound mean but your baby will eat more during the day if they need the calories. After a few times of wakening for water your baby will reduce these feeds by choice. Your baby might cry a bit but will get over it within the week. Does your baby use a dummy? Could you offer this instead? 
This might sound mean but you are doing your baby a favour by helping it get into a routine and yourself. You will all feel better for an undisturbed night. The longer you let these night feeds go on the harder it will get.

Baby 2 is due in June and my 18 month old still wakes up 1-2 times a night for a bottle and I’m sure once her sister gets here she will wake even more but her doctor said that it’s due to her size that she is still needing the extra calories at night (she’s 3ft tall and still growing taller, weight is 27lbs) and our sleep schedule is wake at 9 am nap at 2-3pm till 4pm then bed time is around 10pm 11:30pm at the latest. She also eats 4-5 full meals and has 2 snacks a day and idk how many glasses of water or milk. The last time she slept all night she ended up with a double ear infection the next day ( she wouldn’t leave her ears alone and nothing made her happy she literally hated everything) I’m a stay at home mom also so I just figure when she’s ready she will sleep all night

I'm in the same boat. My LO still wakes at least one time a night. mostly due to itching because of his eczema. I have to lotion him down and give him a bottle for him to go back to sleep. I'm praying for a night he doesn't wake from being uncomfortable!

Oh man, I don’t have this issue but maybe cut out her nap or make it shorter during the day then. Maybe she’s not tired enough to sleep all night. I give my son a healthy snack and whole milk before bed so his belly is full. We also have a night time routine we do every single night so he knows its bedtime. Good luck mama!

Same here. Well, not expecting number 2. Not even thinking about #2 because of this reason. This has almost convinced me that I do not want any more kids. I can’t believe we are almost 2 years old and still not sleeping. I never would have thought.
