Are chapped lips and dry skin pregnancy symptoms?

Question

I have never had use chapstick or lotion before but now no matter how much I put on, my lips are still chapped and my skin is still dry. I have tried coconut oil, baby oil, bag balm, cocoa butter lotion (for skin only) and burts bees. Nothing works! Any advice or recommendations? I am close to the end of pregnancy and can't think of anything else but to wait it out and hope it get better.

Are you drinking enough water? Chapped and dry lips can be a sign of dehydration.

I get dry skin in the winter but I had EXTREMELY dry skin, like worse that ever this winter especially on my face. I’m pretty sure my pregnancy contributed to it. I break out if I put lotion on my face.. so I just had to kind of suffer through it lol

You are supposed to up your water intake a little in pregnancy.  Maybe you're a bit dehydrated?

They’re signs of dehydration for sure. You need more water when you’re pregnant, so you can get dehydrated quicker.

I get this and have done since early pregnancy I drink more than I need to each day as I suffer with water retention in my pregnancies so I know I’m getting enough. It’s weird and annoying I feel your pain! The only thing that kept them at bay for longer was nipple cream! Sounds weird but if you have some I recommend it!xx

I had a few weeks where I was peeling flaky skin.
Up your water intake & use a really good moisturiser & chap stick.
It should go away on its own
