When to stop carrying my baby in her car seat everywhere?

I stopped when the carseat got to heavy with baby in it. I would just take him out and bring him wherever with me and use it purely as a car seat.

Kids who spend too much time in car sits can have hip issues so we don’t plan to carry ours around in it at all - we’ll do baby wearing instead.

I stopped as soon as baby was big enough to sit up in the stroller.

No baby yet, due in August, but the only way I'll take the carseat off is if my baby is asleep, otherwise she will be in her baby carrier or stroller .

I don’t have experience yet, but I think whenever you want? I’m due next month and don’t plan on really carrying my son much of anywhere in the car seat.

I just switched my son to his big boy car seat at 11 months old. Previous to that we carried him in his infant car seat however once he was sitting well on his own around 7 months we sometimes would take him out and put him in like a cart if we were shopping.

We stopped at 2 months. Switched to a convertable seat at 4 months

When it gets too heavy 😬 it’s more of a pain to carry it when it’s heavy than to take them out and carry them or use a stroller if they can.
