Can a pregnant woman celebrate Mother’s Day?

I really want to do something special for my mom and my mom said she wants to do something for me but my cousins keep saying it’s stupid because the baby isn’t born yet... but still I consider myself a MOTHER 🤦🏻‍♀️😄

um sorry but I am so bothered by this post!!! the day you find out you are pregnant you are a mother and for anyone who disagrees its ridiculous.  you take on your motherhood journey the moment you find out you're pregnant.!! you're mom is right for wanting to celebrate you as well!

I didn't before my first son was actually born, but that doesn't mean a pregnant woman CAN'T celebrate. It's really a personal decision.

yes. from the moment you find out your pregnant you start making decisions for your baby. you are a mother the moment you conceieve.

I didn’t want to and wouldn’t have, but my SO very clearly told me that just because our baby isn’t here yet doesn’t mean I’m not a mom. We’re celebrating mother’s day with his family, and we celebrate all the moms. We get gifts for his mom, two grandmas, sister, and now me, and we all bring food to share. We do the same for father’s day, and I need to find something awesome to do for my SO for his first father’s day - I’m so lost!

I think pregnancy women are mothers. You do so much for your baby before they are even born.

I think that's up to you.  I feel like a lot can go wrong still and I don't like celebrations about me. It makes me uncomfortable, so I'm not.But I can see why someone else would celebrate, especially if they're further along in their pregnancy.
