How did you know you were in labor?

I keep getting the same answer “you’ll just know” the way I’ll know is if my water breaks. I don’t know what contractions feel like. People say period cramps but I always have period cramps that worsen. I’m not sure until June 20 so if I have stomach pains I take the pain because I don’t want to go to the hospital for false alarm so how would I know

I had BH from 28 weeks and beyond. On the day I went in to labor I noticed that the contractions changed and felt like they were pushing down.

When people say “you’ll know” it’s because it’s the worst fucking pain you’ll ever experience. You’ll know when that happens. 
Not trying to scare you - you’re gonna take the pain like a champ! Get the epidural if you need to. But you will know when it happens.

Contractions come in timable waves. Your stomach tightens. Each contraction starts painfully, gets worse, then slowly fades away. They will come closer together, last longer, and get stronger over time if they’re true labor contractions. You really will know that you’re in labor.

Niagara Falls was between my legs, is how I knew. However, there is a huge difference between Braxton Hicks contractions and labour contractions. They will gradually get worse and you won’t be able to talk or walk through them.

I had a hard time believing that I will just know but after experiencing it I can tell you that you will know. I didn’t know until I had been having contractions for a while but I knew. Everyone’s contractions are different. Everyone told me the period cramps were early labor and mine were like that the whole time.

I knew because I had contractions for a whole day and when the contractions got closer I went to the hospital. And my water broke like ten minutes before my baby was born. 
You will feel a pain like cramps that come and go, first they will be several minutes apart and then they start getting closer, I personally went to the hospital when they were 7 minutes apart and the made me come back two hours later when they were a little more closer, I ended up giving birth 8 hours after that. And I did it naturally so the pain was really bad the last two hours, until I felt a painful pressure from the inside so the Dr. checked and the head of my baby was already there so they told me to push!
